Actually, people always say writing down how you feel is one of the best ways to cope. I've been writing in journals since I was...8? so..15 years now and it still is my method of choice. You're literally putting pain to paper and it helps too when you read old entries from years ago and go "Wow, I was such an idiot to feel that way!" Which makes you feel better cause you realize how much you've grown.

I know you no offense to what you said, but everyone releases their hurt differently. Painting pictures, composing emo poetry etc shouldn't be looked as a "worse" outcome.
