Normally that would be the only difference. But with the GTX 460, the 768MB version has several components disabled, so it is inherently slower than the 1GB version. In fact, they probably should have called it the 459 or something.
Anyway, it is within 2-5 FPS of the full 1GB version in resolutions up to 1080p, so it's probably not justified to spend the extra $30 + HST for the more expensive version.
