more info on the fps mode that i posted earlier

First, this is not very playable
- Mouse wheel attack doesn't ever work (as shown in video)
- You easily get "lost" as you don't have the bird's eye view.
- Your aim point is off a bit because you are playing over the shoulder view and not FPS view
- Looks dumb cause no roof!
- Hard to see when you are getting raped from the back
- Can see door's life through walls, very annoying on maps with lots of doors.
- Can't do any "hacking" as a tech, due to the mouse commands being reconfigured.
- This is "working" due to the fact that game is 3d, units are full 3d units with textures on all sides. Thus you can view it from all sides and not crash the game or anything.
Older games like THREAT had pictures drawn from the top side so was IMPOSSIBLE to change views, this is a true 3d game thus allowing you to have a free roaming cam.
- Just cause you CAN doesn't mean it is better
- You will get bored of playing like this very fast.
- I am 99% sure the mod community is already working on a FUN FPS game mode for this. Only time will tell if it will be fun or not.

But here is how it is done.
Options -- keyboard/mouse
scroll all the way down and enable dev mode. (the check box)
hit the ` (by #1 and tab)
Type in each of the follow words without quotes, in ( ) i will say what it does
"firstperson"
(first person mode)

"asw_hide_marine 1"
(you really play over the should view, this removes the marine from view)

"asw_controls 0"
(this removes the "dumb movment", normally w is "north" cause you are stuck in "north = up" mode, but in first person you can turn and look different ways, so w is no longer north. This makes wsad movement like normal FPS.)

There are many fun dev commands to try.
The game is MEANT to be modded and will greatly change within a few weeks Can't wait to see what the modders do first and i hope valve picks up the good ones and makes them make the next l4d
