Book Kyung Ban Jeoum,

One of the mods brought me there today.
It's very different than the usual korean places I've tried.
There were some families as well as some young couples there (all korean).

We only had 3 people, so we weren't able to order too much.
Just 2 dishes, plus the usual banchang
  • Sweet and sour pork.
Yes, *gasp*, I would never order this.
But it turns out, it's not the crappy chinese stuff my uncle used to make in his small-town-chinese-restaurant-for-whities
    There is no ketchup!
I would recommend this to anyone.
  • Black bean noodle with "sauce".
Sauce was made of soy, sugar, cabage, onions and some braised beef.
Yes, I could probably duplicate it at home, but it's like your grandmother's spag-bowl. It'll be close, but never the same.
Verdict?
Despite all the servers for mistaking me for korean (I don't think I look korean), I will definitely return.
Food was quality and has a level of complexity beyond the usual "jang mo jibs" chains.
Servers were attentive in a casual manner (but not ultra-professionally efficient), they don't hover, yet are easily found.

Staff was a bit sparse though.
Unless staff numbers are greatly increased on weekends or event nights (fireworks), I'd probably stay away from them.
