If you're picky about colours and viewing angles, better get a monitor with an IPS panel. They are vastly superior to the cheaper monitors. My old Dell IPS monitor is still better than most of the screens that are sold today.

Here's a 24" one from Dell with an IPS panel. It's reasonable priced.
