i remember seeing Dell has a 23" IPS LCD on sale not long ago for around $250.

Not sure how picky u are, but I think most ppl will find IPS panels picture quality at least adequate.
and you can get 4 of them for the price of 1 NEC...

(or probably 8 for the price of 1 Eizos!)
