Excel is WAY better with widescreen ... First of all, you get more visuals in the ribbon, which makes your workflow easier. Comparing worksheets side-by-side is easier. You have more cells to work with. WTF is the problem ? I use Excel every day and, when I went to a widescreen monitor, it was a frickin' godsend.
Photo editing ... So your photos aren't widescreen ? What's your point ? Guess what, that means you can have tool bars down the side, which means you can your work done quicker instead of going through menus all the damn time.
I don't know about you, but I actually like to get my work done quickly so I can spend my free time playing games. A widescreen monitor benefits both.
