ONLY A SMALL drop of thermal paste, nickel size is too much.. pea size..
as for what kinda, if you dont plan to OC your rig, artic silver 5 is good enough..
if your heatsink wasnt mount properly the first time, chances are the paste wouldnt be good.. clean it off and reappy..
