That's right, you didn't read it wrong. It's Socket A. Not AM2, AM3. I want to know if anyone has an old school Socket A HSF that they don't need anymore.

I'll finally be upgrading my ancient pc (AMD 2600+) but would like to keep it around as a second machine or file server. However, the stock fan that comes with AMDs back then is way too loud for something that won't see much use anymore.
