The drystar Alpinestars textiles are! My jacket has been dry in downpours.

I agree with real rain gear, if I had to ride 30min+ in rain I wold stop and wear rain gear over my gear. Yet for these pants I want something waterproof in a drizzle, or a 5 min surprise shower for those days when there is a 60% chance of showers yet it only rains for a few mins.
