FINALLY got the chance to fix up my parents contracts. I called into cancel for them and said they sent me to retentions and I told them I was offered

200 daytime
Unlimited Wind to Wind
Unlimited weekends / early weekdays @ 5PM
CID pckg
for 15$ before tax

Then, I was offered for both numbers

200 daytime minutes
Unlimited weekends / early weekdays @ 5PM
Unlimited Fido to Fido
2500 Text Messages
CID
No SAF / 911
-10$ credit for CID

22$ before taxes; little under 25$ with taxes

The rep first gave me the above for 25$ before tax, where he credited the CID for 7$ but then I told him I'm looking for the cheapest option. I kept asking for the cheaper option and told him I didn't use the phones a lot (told him to check usage) but he told me you couldn't renew unless your contract was above 20$. My parents wanted new phones so I used their fido dollars, so the phones are pretty much free. I could of haggled for the 17.50$ only if I didn't wanna renew. I'm pretty happy with the plans I guess. Too bad none of my parents text... my dad used 60 mins including weekends / evenings last month LOL

My next step is HUPing my phone to the iPhone 4 in 6 months.. is there less leway when bargaining for a HUP cause my plan sucks nuts right now? if it matters I don't have data on my phone right now. Or would it be a more viable option bargaining after my contract ends in 1 year?
