Serious question - Winning the lottery

So we all dream about winning the lottery, and all the nice cars, clothes, trips, and money you can have. But, do you ever wonder about the negative things you get yourself when you claim your ticket?

Do you claim, or do you have an older relative claim for you? I'm sure we've all known some undesirables in our lives. People that are fun to hang out or associate with, but you want nowhere near you now because they are the shady type.

Do you sign a contract with your relative? This alone will question the trust in your own family. Never know, $40 million, right?

What about relationships? Probably get cocky and start cheating. Family ruined. Also not to mention people asking to borrow money. You might think it's easy gifting money now, but something tells me it's a different story once you really are forking over $100k to people. And what about those people who you've promised to give $1million dollars "if I ever win the lottery".

Just a few examples, you may not even have these issues, but they are highly possible.

Is it all really worth it to trade for an abundance of money? Or you can have a great modest life while working.

But to answer my question, I'd still take the money.
