Well, I never got the hype for fatburger, most of us could probably do better at home.
The buns aren't fresh or artisan, the fries are meh, and there are not seriously good toppings that come with the burgers.
Just seems like a wendy's burger upgraded.
I just did diva @ the met.
3 + 1 course menu.
roasted red pepper mouse
quite good, not sure what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised.
albacore tuna + veggie roll
basically a tuna tataki, nothing super fancy served on top of a veggie roll.
don't remember the veggie or what it was filled with, but it was solid.
this dish wasn't too memorable, i'd be disappointed if i got it by itself, but it wasn't bad.
pork belly confit
served with potato puree, fava beans and some iunno, sour beet jelly?
quite good, never actually knew pork confit would be any good, outside of meat was crisp, inside was soft and juicy, very good contrast.
dessert, this was the best part of the meal,
Was a plate of assorted stuff.
chocolate coffee cream served with philo pastry on the side
chocolate (dipped?) coffee cream (like ganache, but crispy)
churros, so crispy on the outside, so soooofft on the inside.
assorted berries.
All meals should end in a dessert this good.
Service: 8/10
Food: 7.5/10
Value: 7/10
Overall, solid, and would recommend.
