I just finished this in two sittings.

If you're into the Grand Theft Auto type game and if you're into Mafia game this would be a good game to play. If you're a really DIE hard fan of GTA, this game ain't the best. Just FYI

I finished this game in about 15-20 hours, not even. I gotta say, I finished Red Dead Redemption and I finished this and Mafia was a bit weak. 2K Games produced this and it's their first time doing a GTA style type game and they have a few things they need to sort out.

Let's start with the Pros:
Story was decent but not EPIC as GTA, the graphics was really good, the sound, the weapons were solid. You recognize the same environment type area similar to GTA.
You get to collect playboy bunnies center folds(50 of them)
Without having to spoil the game for you, there was one part that was really cool to see a transition of scenery / music / cars. you'll know what I mean when you're 30% into the game. That was the only time it really WOW-ed me or thought it was cool.

Cons:
GTA = so much more fun ESP the environment. You get to flirt with hookers, work out, find hidden helicopters, TONS of side missions, different 'territories' and most of all, you get to choose a different ending.
MAFIA II was lacking a lot of things, maybe because the story is based during 1940-1951 but you don't get to pimp out your wardrobe, you don't get to play pool etc. none of the really fun side missions for GTA or Red Dead Redemption.
I mean I was hoping there would be like a titty bar you can go check out, have a broad dance with you etc.... NOPE.
Because of everything said above, it's just boring to roam around the city.

Glitches and misses:
They really expect you to know everything. I had no idea what it was like to be caught by the cops or what the 3 stars / 4 stars system was all about (level of crime). Having said that, the game has a HUGE glitch of where you get to escape really easily as long as you have good driving skills. In GTA, you have swat teams and helicopters... in this game.. nope. All you have to do is just JUMP from your car, and start running far enough and the heat of the police will be gone and you're pretty much good to go. So I guess that's a good thing.

Hide feature. While they try to use Gears of War hide feature, it's decent but I didn't like the fact you have to press the same hide button to come back out. Guess that was just a habit thing.

Gameplay 7.5/10 (GTA and Red Dead was a solid 9)
I'm happy to say it's clear why this was only an 7.5. Story was not as epic, replay / roam around town was not worthy that's why it's only an 7.5.
