You know what I dont understand, a lot of times I hear people say "you didn't show interest earlier enough so now she friend zoned you." or, "you didn't flirt enough so now she friend zoned you."

How do we know, as guys, what would make a girl friend zone us? I mean if I think about it from my point of view, as a man, I friend zone girls, from their looks and personality, not if they showed interest or was a flirt. I mean if I don't find the girl attractive, why would her showing interest in me change my mind. Maybe girls are just on different planets...
