the only thing i can remember that it would do would be to underdrive the water pump to prevent cavitation at high rpm. and unless you plan on doing extensive tracking with long periods of high rpm operation, i wouldn't bother.
if you want to tune your 8 while keeping it NA, doing intake and exhaust, get coilovers or springs (depending on how aggressive you want your suspension) wheels and tires, and possible a tunable ecu like a power FC or something. i recommend the PFC if they have one for 8's as it plugs into your stock harness, so no monkeying around with rewiring your car.
