I'd like to see Kes named captain just for a change in the clubs outlook/philosohpy, naming Hank the captain would imo almost be another "safe" move, which would also lead to so much stupid fucking speculation about the euro captain bullshit and wether or not he's got the heart to lead a team etc

i think in the media if Kesler was named captain it would take a few clear failures on his part until people really started coming down on him and questioning his leadership, also with the C on his chest i think he would automatically become a more mature player on and off the ice
