you are getting that speed for shaw "high speed" non extreme and you are saying it's not great? high speed non extreme is only 7.5mb/s download 512kb/s upload.. you are getting more than what you paid for and you are saying it's not too great? you get what you paid for..
@peturbo call shaw and get them to check ur router statistic.. sounds like ur modem is flapping.. but that shouldn't happen even if there's lots of traffic going on.
and for ppl that are experiencing slow speed or unstable speed. make sure if you have a media streaming client on ur computer.. check and see if it's running in the background.. ex pplive even if you exit the program.. it's terminal program is still running in the background uploading data constantly.. the faster your upload speed.. the slower ur download speed
