Ok OP, here is the answer you're looking for:
If you were being completely legalistic, then, since the fastest you're allowed to drive is the speed limit, going 50 in the left lane would be no problem. No law will explicitly tell you to break the speed limit, not even the 'slower traffic keep right' laws.

Now, if you weren't young, naive and legalistic, you would know that your original post is simply retarded because that isn't the way the world works, and you would be causing more problems by driving the limit in the left lane.

Sorry if I repeated anyone here, I didn't read all of the responses. I can only read so much stupid in one day, and between this thread, the rave thread and the 300zx thread, I think my brain has already turned to mush.
