I call back to fido and explained what happened and I said to them that "it appears that fido doesn't want my business" and he tells me next time anyone tries to pull this on me just pick up their phone and call them and they will deal with the dealer. Fido understands that they would rather not have me get a data plan then lose a 10 yr customer with 4 lines, Selfish fucking azn store disagrees.

how else does one end up with amazing offers from retentions! I've heard these stories three years in a row. Use this to your advantage and give retentions a call. Shit like this makes me not want to deal with store front staff.
Its also another reason why so many fido dealers are going under, being selective like this affects the overall stock for big ticket items like these being distributed or even purchasing the items for the company. If smaller chains jsut followed policy and did your HUP. I can almost assure that when the iphone5 rolls along, they will end up with more stock. The faster they sell, the more they can order quicker, the better it will look.
regardless, I kno a few inside that specific dealer(from management to store front). I will tell you that even being related to the store staff, or the staff themselves CANNOT sell or buy any DATA RELATED DEVICE without attaching data.
