I know this is not the intention, but I liken the new techical situation to slave masters trying to curb any emotions from their slaves, how can you order players to just play the game and not show any emotion when a win/loss often hinges on a few, or even one bad call? Not to mention you have a guy as old as 70+ (Dick Bavetta) trying to ref guys in their 20's, in a sport that is arugably the most subjective and the most difficult to call when it comes to contact. The NBA is not addressing the right issue with the refereeing, and I bet part of them just want it this way to get people talking about the NBA constantly and partly to indirectly "affect" games by placing Refs with certain tendencies in key games.
