His new restaurant was nice... another odd location though, and it seems to have hurt him in the end.
When he was looking for a new place last year, I wondered why he was unable to find a small space in a strip mall somewhere in Surrey/Langley. Commercial vacancy rates are quite high over the past few years, and he could have gotten quite the deal if he played his cards right.
If he leased a place properly in a strip mall, a landlord would be unable to force him out like this in such a quick fashion. I'm not sure what his arrangement with the hotel was, but obviously he did not have the proper clauses in place for his lease and it really screwed him over.
Boonie was a hell of a cook and made good food, but I have to think that his business sense might not have been as good

I'm really gonna miss his pulled pork sandwiches.
