it depends how old you are and how serious the relationship is
if you're in highschool and you're just fucking around, then it doesn't really matter what your parents say
but if ur planning on becoming more than just gf/bf then you might wanna consider how your parents will feel about their son/daughter in law.. cuz chinese parents can really hate on people lol
