Le Bistro De Paris (Near Robson/Denman, across from Kintaro)
I always walked by this french restaurant until I finally went and tried this place for my friend's birthday.
The staff greeted all of us and offered to take our coats and umbrellas. The waiter was very helpful in explaining the dishes from the menu and even joked around with us.
I got their $30 3-course meal special (Soup, Beef Tenderloin, Creme Brule) and I added an order of escargot too.
I must say, the food was quite delicious. I don't normally eat french but it was good stuff. My friends got similar dishes and they agreed too. The waiter even gave us two complimentary orders of french fries too.
We also ordered a bottle of Red btwn the four of us too.. Bill came to a little over $200..but it was good!
Waiter was very polite, attentive and was really friendly. He and and another lady sang happy birthday to my friend while presenting our cake too and joked around and chatted with us too. We were all happy.
Its a while since I've gotten such great service dining out in a long time. We left him a good tip.
Food: 8.5/10
Service: 9/10
I will definately come back to this place again.
