I don't think anybody here care about the living standard in Hong Kong, but you are fucking damn right. My gf used to own a 1200sq ft apartment in Vancouver by herself and now she is living in a 60sq ft bedroom in HK. She cried all the time in the first few months, but it's a good lesson for her. She's no longer as spendy as she was in Vancouver nowaday.
FYI, making 80K a year in Vancouver is about the same making 50K in HK.
- people there generally don't own a car and pay for gas
- income tax is way LOWER, no sales tax, no HST BS, no carbon tax
- expenses are less
- food is cheaper but usually taste worse.

and I find guys are better financial planner than girls at any age. Guys are all about save save save, girls are like spend spend spend.
Ever heard a girl saying she wants to save 100K in her 20s to start a new life with her bf or something? usually it's the other way around.
