Just went through NCIX/ME website, sorted notebooks by price, only had 2 "options" for notebooks under $450.
That price range will only get you a <13.3" NETbook, won't be capable of much more than basic websurfing/documents/ 720p movies if you're
lucky
Either you:
1) up your budget, make the laptop that'll do the job properly
or 2) get a cheaper 10.1" netbook for school, use the rest of the money to upgrade your desktop to play CS1.6 or whatever.
