my ex was there for me when my parents split during my career change and losing my house. She was there for support all the way and didnt tell me what to do.

i second this, my ex was with me whenever i had problems at home.. even bad days at work, and even when i took it out on her sometimes she would always try to cheer me up...but i didn't take initiative, hence the "ex"
