How is it a joke?

Thanks, went back to Mission today, but I had shitty timing all day. They were never there when I went to the locations.

People would tell me that "yeah, there was a whole bunch of eagles there (pointing to sandbar 100ft away) about 1 hour ago," or "they all took off just before you came."
