So you wouldn't exactly walk away from everything. How can you tell from an audio-less video and a tight-lipped OP what the nature of the altercation was? Right now, it could have very well been gay bashing, race bashing, family bashing, etc; but you chose to ignore that uncertainty. Why? is it too inconvenient for your condescencion?
OP did nothing wrong. Whipping out a camera to document your harrassers for authorities is just akin to "tattle taling to your teacher" (which is not an act of aggression or instigation). Now, if the reason why the audio was omitted is because the OP was ACTUALLY verbally instigating an altercation, then that may warrant some of the comments but we haven't gotten that far yet.
IMO, a lot of people are just getting too ahead of themselves in thinking they know exactly how it started, exactly what words were exchanged, and exactly how it could have been avoided, if at all avoidable.
