Whipping out a camera is not an act of "antagonization." It's either an act of self defense or deterrence (out of documentation); both of which I find reasonable responses to harrassment - in addition to walking away, or just riding out your torment.
And secondly, is everyone else forgetting that the OP didn't start filming as an act of "defiance" but moreso just a response-in-kind to already being filmed? (by that asian guy)
