When Santouka first opened there use to be line-ups (First week or two). Now that everyone has discovered there's nothing great about it I see no one lining up and not many customers throughout the day.
Dinehere.com even has mixed reviews about it.

I've had to wait at Santouka countless times ever since it opened, even until now. You may pass by it and miss the lineup since they usually fit a few of the groups waiting to be seated inside.
Then again, the volume of customer traffic and dinehere.ca reviews aren't exactly the best way to determine the caliber of a restaurant...
