Definitely. When I started my policy in early 2008, it was only 40 something dollars per month. Trupanion supposedly doesn't penalize and increase premiums if you claim a lot, but over the course of almost 3 years, they sent letters out to everyone (3x) stating that they would need to increase the premiums due to increasing vet costs.

At one point in time, I was considering canceling our policy because $80 *is* quite a bit to pay monthly, but if you have a problematic dog like I do, sometimes it might still be worth it. Depends on your dog. As I mentioned, I'm still saving lots of money with insurance...that speaks volumes about just how often my dog sees the vet, lol.
