by marketing yourself, what i mean is that you must seemingly be approachable, have a good personality, must be able to know (or learn) how to 'talk' to consumers, be kind/courteous, and be helpful.
by lying, i meant just enough to get yourself a job and not over do it cuz then you'll really screw yourself over. everyone does it to get the job, but not always will it work - one ex-employee lied all the way through, got hired, i caught on to him and got his @$$ fired.
