RICHMOND (NEWS1130) - Richmond Mounties are warning the public about a rash of violent carjackings that have all taken place in the last two weeks.
Police say all of the victims had their cars parked in public areas when they were approached by a man with a weapon who demanded their keys. It's believed all the thefts are random.
The RCMP is urging drivers to be aware of their surroundings, park in well lit areas, and if you think you're being followed call 911 right away.
The only descriptions of the suspects police can provide at this time are that they are male, one is Indo-Canadian and another is Caucasian, and both are in their 30s. Police are not saying where exactly the carjackings occurred.
