i'll probably take at least 1hr for you to take apart the tv being you have no experience taking it apart before. and personally i wouldn't suggest you resolder a new capacitor in unless you have some pretty good experience soldering on pcb. depending on the size of the contact the solder point might only be 1mm in size. i'd suggest taking ur tv to one of the electronic repair shop and get them to estimate how much it'll cost to fix. if it's just the capacitor i'm guessing about $100bux
