any idea how much a technician would fix it for? i was hoping for my tv to last atleast another 2 years.. and it should if i fix the cap.. i have never realy soldered anything befor, i did once but failed...
I have the same problem on my Samsung TV. The display is black and I get a nice slow "pop", "pop", "pop" sound when I turn it on.

What the model number of your TV?
