I have narrow down to Cartier watches such as the, Cartier Santos 100 Steel Automatic XL , or Cartier Tank Francaise Steel Mens Watch. My budget is roughly $5000. I am hoping to wear this as long as I can. I've been saving for a long time...

So there are few questions, where do you guys buy your expensive watches and the kind of deals I should expect?
Also what other brand would have similiar quality & style?
Would it be cheaper to buy from states after paying for duty/taxes ?
