You won't and can't get crashing waves like that in the Lower Mainland because we don't face the open ocean. Vancouver Island shields us. You will need to go to the west coast of Vancouver Island or the west coast of Washington/Oregon State.

I went to Blackrock Resort in Ucluelet in September and it was awesome. Huge waves crashing onto shore, heavy rain & fog, big ass boulders, etc...
