This should really get the ball rolling. If the Nets can get Anthony to agree on a three-year extension, the framework for a trade is in place. The fact that the Nuggets granted permission shows they are likely willing to accept the Nets' offer, which includes multiple first-round picks and Derrick Favors among others. Now it's up to Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov and GM Billy King to sell Anthony on New Jersey. A meeting is expected to take place before the Nuggets' next game on Wednesday. Things are heating up quickly now.
