I have something similar - Trendnet N router with DD-WRT for a main access point, Linksys G with DD-WRT working as a bridge for some IP cameras, and a D-Link with DD-WRT as a bridge for machines on my workbench downstairs. Works pretty well! If you can get routers with the same chipset, you should be able to set up a WDS MESH around the house for even, solid coverage (it SHOULD work with different chipsets, in theory, but I've had problems getting encryption going with WDS between Atheros and Broadcom units).
