Although, if you were one of the haters you might not want to go back and see how wrong you were. iFail. iCrap. It'll never sell. The HP Slate/Asus Eee/Whatever is an iPad killer that'll steal all Apple's sales. The iPad is only slightly better than a stone tablet. And so on.
I travel a lot so I see PLENTY of people with iPads on the airplanes and airports. I always glance over their shoulder to see what they are doing.

From recent memory.

1. A guy was plugged into the iPad w/ headphones listening to music, (GLee Soundtrack to be specific) and looking at the album art, flipping back to the play list, switching songs, switcing back, looking at the album art, rotating the iPad to see the album art flip, back to the play list, adjusting the volume with his finger on the slidy volume button. He did they on his iPad for about 5minutes I was observing him on the plane. Everytime he flipped the iPad to see the album art flip he would do it with this deliberate gesture like "look at me! i have an iPad and the screen flips when I turn the thing!!!!!!!"

It was bloody hilarious.

2. Another guy was reading his email, then going back to home, browsing through his apps, then back to his email, then back to home screen, looking at his folders of apps, browsing more email. Did this aimlessly for a few minutes.

6. A guy browsing CNN.

This is why the iPad is a fail, even though people buy them. An expensive piece of equipment wasted on doing menial, trivial things, that would be far more efficient on a laptop or iPhone.

Maybe one day, when the iPad runs full OSX, and as powerful as a computer, and that it can truly portable computer, that's when we can hail it a success and a useful too.

Currently it is a glorified iPod touch, and a toy. And really, for the price, get a laptop, a piece of machinery where you can actually do some work. I wish I was rich so I could buy one of these to play with when I'm taking a dump.
