After being stuck at 250 for the last couple of weeks on what I usually eat, I want to cut down to help my athleticism a bit (and just for general health), because I'm beginning to play pick up basketball for some cardio. I have been working out regularly for the last month though, I was 255 at the start of January.

Any one else have any advice from when they cut? It's my first time doing this as well.

Thanks everyone.
I know how you feel it was quite the shock when i was told not to eat rice. Although i think rice is fine PRE and POST workout because you want that spike in insulin. Otherwise yes, it will make you store fat.

well like skinnypupp has been preaching, get you're energy sources from FAT if possible. it has a Glycemic index of 0 (google glycelmic index). Also if u have to have carbs, consider its GI value first.

you ARE what you eat. Lift hard, and your metabolism will take care of the rest. I don't calorie count, but im alot leaner than i was about a year ago after paying attention to what i eat more.
