Currently SandyBridge motherboards have a SATA problem on the 3.0gbps ports. The issue is that it MAY corrupt data over time. However I don't think any OEM has been able to reproduce the issue. New boards probably won't be out for at least another month or 2. I have one of the affected boards and ASUS is going to replace them for free. If you can't wait that long you can still build a system but using the SATA 6.0Gbps ports until the replacements are out.
