There are several ways to connect your computers:
1. Create an "ad-hoc" connection, the downside to this however, is that you will not be able to connect to the internet unless one of them is physically plugged in to your modem, and the connection is shared.
2. Get a ethernet switch for 20 dollars and physically hook up the three computers together via ethernet cables
3. Buy a router, and hook it up as above (2)
4. Buy a wireless router, and connect all three computers to the same network
*wifi is essentially the same thing as wireless internet, actually, it has gotten to the point where it IS the same thing

Make Sure all computers are connected to the same wireless network. 1a) to make your life a bit easier, make sure they are all on the same "workgroup" - verify by right clicking "My Computer" (XP and before) or "Computer" (Vista and 7). 2. On the computer which has the printer and the folder, do the following: 2a) Go to "Control Panel" -> "Printers" and right click the printer you want to share, select "Sharing" and enable it. 2b) Go to the folder you want to share, right click the folder icon and select "share". follow the on-screen instructions to assign it a name etc... 3. On the other computers 3a) Add the printer by clicking on the wizard and select "Add a printer connected to another computer". You will then be promted to browse for the printer you want to connect to. Accept all (if any) warnings and you will be on your way. 3a) as for the folder, go to "My Network Places", select the computer which the folder is hosted and browse it like you would with any other folder...
