So i applied to the city to have a 3 storey tree cut down in front my house. It got denied even though the branches always comes down and it's a hazard for us.

I was told that i need to get a arborist to do a tree risk assessment and then reapply again to the city.

Has anyone done this before? and know the cost? i called a couple of places and they said they'll have to come and give me an estimate but won't give me a ballpark figure.

Can anyone help?
