I understand that a G mode device cannot get a N mode speed, the point is can it gets up to the maximum speed of that device and what is the actual maximum speed.

Yes, it is Internet speed, at this moment I cannot get the file transfer speed over the network. But I see people getting at least 80Mbps over a N router, so it makes me wonder am I doing things correctly.

EDIT: after some tweaking, it's getting better. It seems like 20Mbps is the max iphone4 can handle, I don't see any faster wifi speed on the Internet.
