I been using it for years and years, it has never failed me, actually had your exact same issue the other month, thought about reinstalling Windows again but tried HiJack This, it was able to locate the files and fix the problem for me |
It's effective, but so are Superantispyware and Malwarebytes. I've had a spyware on my PC that I couldn't clean it with most of the best anti-spyware programs including hijackthis, and it still didn't work.
Sometimes formatting is the only solution.
