If you were retired, would you want to stay in Canada where the air is cold and dry and you have to shovel your driveway of all that snow?
Don't just think of Vancouver, but every other province in Canada.
All you need to do is be in Cananda for half the year and you can collect your CPP and old age pension. Rest of the time, you can be in sunny FLorida, Arizona, or California hence why Bettman thought it would be a great idea to have NHL hockey teams in these locations.
And you can buy travel insurance in CAnada, and then live 5-6 months in the US and be covered for health care.
