It is King Crab season. (Apparently it is in season twice a year.)

I had a huge 13 lb one at my gf's place made by her parents. They hacked it up alive, steamed it, cut the shells open and poured tons of chopped garlic all over the inside meat. Awesome.

The juices were all saved up and used to make noodles.

King crab congee was good too.

This one was just normal colored, though. Last year's had a blue shell and the flavor was magical.

Looking forward out for king crab on my birthday soon.
