If you consider the cost benefit behind it, it's cheaper than whistler. You can learn on an area that's focused on consistency [seymours rope tow area, cypress's eazy rider quad chair, grouses rope tow area] then take your skills towards other areas of the hill.

The learning curve on a snowboard is steep, meaning you will feel you can get the hang of it quickly, that is if you're determined, however if you want to progress, the patience and the skill is necessary.

It's a never ending learning sport, but it's worth the effort to gain that reward.
